The volunteer entry guidelines for the Tokyo Marathon 2027, to be held on Sunday, March 7, 2027, have been announced.
Entry for all volunteer categories—Leader Support, Leader, Member, Junior, and Team—will open on Tuesday, October 6, 2026.
In addition, VOLUNTAINER, the Tokyo Marathon Foundation Official Volunteer Club, will open Overseas Membership registration on October 6 for those residing outside Japan. The Tokyo Marathon 2027 will also recruit Global Volunteers, providing those residing outside Japan with the opportunity to participate as volunteers.

VOLUNTAINER Overseas Membership Registration Opens October 6!
VOLUNTAINER, the Tokyo Marathon Foundation Official Volunteer Club, will open Overseas Membership registration for the Tokyo Marathon 2027 at 12:00 p.m. (JST) on Tuesday, October 6, 2026.
Overseas Membership is for those residing outside Japan, with English as the primary language of communication.
For the Tokyo Marathon 2027, Global Volunteers residing outside Japan will be recruited to participate in selected volunteer activities.
