Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building - Suidobashi - Ueno-hirokoji - Kanda - Nihombashi - Asakusa Kaminarimon Gate - Ryogoku - Monzen-nakacho - Ginza - Tamachi - Hibiya - Tokyo Station/Gyoko-dori Ave.
(This course is certified by the JAAF, AIMS and World Athletics.)
* An official 40 km record will also be recognized. However, only finishers who are registered athletes with the Japan Association of Athletics Federations (JAAF) are eligible

| Competition Rules |

(1) The races will be conducted in accordance with the rules and regulations of the World Athletics, JAAF and the Race Organizer.
World Athletics Road Race Label Regulations also applies to the Tokyo Marathon, which has been certified by the World Athletics as a Platinum Label.
Doping controls and post-race shoe inspections will be conducted in accordance with the rules and regulations of World Athletics.

(2) World Para Athletics Rules and Regulations and the competition rules of the Tokyo Marathon apply to Para Athletes.
Doping control will be conducted in accordance with World Para Athletics Anti-Doping Regulations.

Marathon: 7 hours(Start: 9:10 a.m. / Finish: 4:10 p.m.)
Wheelchair Marathon: 2 hours 30 minutes(Start: 9:05 a.m. / Finish: 11:35 a.m.)

* The official time will be measured from the starting gun.

* There are some Cut-off points for traffic control, security, and race operations.
Participants who fail to reach a cut-off point by the designated time, or who fall significantly behind the race pace at any point on the course, may be required to discontinue the race.

| Eligibility |
Those who are 19 years of age or older as of the event date (March 7, 2027), having been born on or before March 7, 2008, who meet the following eligibility requirements and are approved by the Organizer.
* Includes those who have transferred or been granted the right through events conducted by the organizer for the Tokyo Marathon.

Those who is capable of completing the race within 6 hours and 30 minutes. (Male, Female and Non-binary)

(2) People with disabilities
Those who is capable of completing the race within 6 hours and 30 minutes. (Male, Female and Non-binary)
* Those who are unable to run independently due to disabilities are allowed to run with one guide runner. (Guide animals are not permitted.)

(3) People with disabilities (Wheelchair)
Wheelchair user is capable of completing the race within 2 hours and 30 minutes using a racing wheelchair. (Male, Female and Non-binary)

(4) Duo Team
A two-person team consisting of a Rider and a Pusher, capable of completing the race within 6 hours and 30 minutes, in which the Rider uses a specialized buggy that has been safely customized for running. (Male, Female and Non-binary)

(5) Semi-Elite
Athlete who meets the requirements set forth by the "RUN as ONE - Tokyo Marathon 2027". (Male, Female)

(6) Elite
・Athlete, registered with the JAAF in fiscal 2026 who meets the special requirements set forth by the organizer. (Male, Female)
・Invited Athletes: National and international runners nominated by the organizer and/or the JAAF. (Male, Female)

(7) Para Athlete

・Athletes who are registered with a para athletics organization affiliated with the Japan Para Sports Association for the 2026 fiscal year,
hold a valid sport class as of race day, and meets the special requirements set forth by the organizer. (Male, Female)

・Invited Athletes: National and international runners nominated by the organizer and/or a para athletics organization affiliated with the Japan Para Sports Association.

② All other classes recognized under the classification system of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC).
* For the Wheelchair Division, a racing wheelchair refers to a wheelchair that complies with the specifications set forth in the latest World Para Athletics Rules and Regulations applicable on race day.
