The Entry Information for Elite Athletes participating in the Tokyo Marathon 2027 has been released.
To mark the 20th edition of the Tokyo Marathon, the first-place prize money for both the men’s and women’s elite marathon races will be increased to USD 170,000—the highest first-place prize among the Abbott World Marathon Majors (AWMM).
Applications for international Elite Athletes are scheduled to open in early November 2026. Details of the application process will be announced on the official Tokyo Marathon website in early November 2026.
