The Tokyo Marathon Foundation has conducted a study on the economic ripple effects of the Tokyo Marathon 2026, held on Sunday, March 1, 2026, and announces the results as follows.

Economic ripple effect in Japan: approximately 790 billion yen.
Economic ripple effect in Tokyo: approximately 565 billion yen.

The calculations were performed by Mitsumasa Etoh, a Visiting Researcher at RIKEN.
