In line with the FY2026 annual flight schedule released on the website of the Japan Air Self-Defense Force, it has been decided that a Blue Impulse demonstration flight will be conducted in conjunction with the 20th anniversary of the Tokyo Marathon, to be held on Sunday, March 7, 2027.

Details regarding the flight time and route will be announced once they are finalized.

What is Blue Impulse?
Blue Impulse is a specialized aerobatic demonstration team of the Japan Air Self-Defense Force that performs spectacular aerobatic flights (known as “demonstration flights”) at air shows and national events to raise public awareness of the JASDF.
 Its official designation is the 11th Flying Squadron, part of the 4th Air Wing based at Matsushima Air Base in Miyagi Prefecture.
The team’s aircraft are distinguished by their blue-and-white livery, and their precise six-aircraft formations and dynamic solo maneuvers inspire awe and excitement among spectators.
