Tokyo Marathon 2026 Has Ended.

Tokyo Marathon 2026 has successfully ended today.
In its 19th edition, the Tokyo Marathon 2026 welcomed 38,773runners (preliminary figure).
We would also like to take this opportunity to express our sincere gratitude to the local communities and businesses for their support and understanding despite the extended traffic control.

In the men’s wheelchair marathon, Marcel Hug finished in first place to claim victory, while in the women’s wheelchair marathon, Catherine Debrunner also took first place.
Debrunner secured her second consecutive title, following her win at the previous edition of the Tokyo Marathon.
In the men’s marathon, Ethiopia’s Tadese Takele successfully defended his title with a time of 2:03:37.
In the women’s race, Kenya’s Brigid Kosgei set a new course record of 2:14:29, finishing in first place to claim the title.

We hope that everyone who participated in the Tokyo Marathon 2026 and its related events enjoyed the experience of Tokyo in their own unique way.

The Tokyo Marathon will celebrate its 20th edition with theTokyo Marathon 2027,to be held on March 7,2027.
To commemorate this milestone,a variety of special projects have been decided.
