The forecast for race day indicates a high of approximately 17°C.
This is relatively warm for this time of year, and direct sunlight and increased body heat during the race may make it feel even warmer.
Please note: This forecast is current as of February 26.
To help ensure a safe and enjoyable race experience, please take note of the following:
・Hydrate well before the start
There will be five hydration stations in the start area. Water refills for soft flasks and hydration packs will be available, so please make use of them.
Soft flasks and hydration packs are permitted only if they are empty when brought into the start area.
- Make full use of the aid stations on the course
Please be sure to hydrate adequately at each aid station along the course. We encourage you to carry the “Tokyo Marathon logo soft cup,” which will be distributed as a participation gift at Runner Registration, and use it for drinking water or pouring water over yourself to cool down. Water refills for soft flasks and hydration packs will also be available at course aid stations.
・Dress appropriately
We recommend wearing breathable clothing that allows for effective temperature regulation. Hats and sunglasses may also help reduce heat exposure.
・Manage your pace carefully
Warmer conditions can increase physical strain. Please maintain a comfortable and sustainable pace.
・Do not push yourself if you feel unwell
If you feel unwell at any time, stop running immediately and inform the nearest staff member, or proceed to a medical station.
A full medical support system will be in place on race day; however, your personal health management is essential.
The Organizing Committee remains committed to helping ensure a safe race for all participants.
