On race day of the Tokyo Marathon 2026 (Sunday, March 1, 2026), special performances will take place at the starting area to celebrate the start of the race. 

The Shinjuku Hanazono Elementary School Chorus will present a choral performance, and guitarist Marty Friedman will deliver an inspiring live guitar performance to energize the runners.

At the start area, under the lively announcements of DJ nico, these passionate performances will help energize and inspire the runners.

Yuriko KOIKE, Governor of Tokyo and Chairperson of the Tokyo Marathon 2026, will serve as the official starter.
