Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building -- Suidobashi -- Ueno-hirokoji -- Kanda -- Nihombashi -- Asakusa Kaminarimon Gate -- Ryogoku -- Monzen-nakacho -- Ginza -- Tamachi -- Hibiya -- Tokyo Station/Gyoko-dori Ave.
(This course is certified by the JAAF, AIMS and World Athletics.)
2) 10km (10.7km) Race*
Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building -- Iidabashi -- Kanda -- Nihombashi
*Due to course structure, the actual distance is 10.7km.
(Results are considered unofficial. Finishing place is determined by net time.)

Competition Rules |
The races will be conducted in accordance with the rules and regulations of the World Athletics, JAAF and the Race Organizer.
World Athletics Road Race Label Regulations also applies to the Tokyo Marathon, which has been certified by the World Athletics as a Elite Platinum Label.
Doping control will be conducted abiding to World Athletics Anti-Doping Regulations.
World Para Athletics Rules and Regulations and the competition rules of the Tokyo Marathon applies to the wheelchair marathon; doping control is conducted under World Para Athletics Anti-Doping Regulations.

Time Limits |
- 1) Marathon: 7 hours
- 2) Wheelchair Marathon: 2 hours and 10 minutes
- 3) 10km (10.7km) Race: 1 hour and 45 minutes
- 4) Wheelchair 10km (10.7km) Race: race: 40 minutes
* The cut-off times of (1), (2), and (4) are all based on gun (gross) time.
* The cut-off time of (3) is based on net time.
* The cut-off time will be enforced at each checkpoint due to reasons of traffic control, security, and event operation.
* The runners who fail to pass through the checkpoint before the cut-off time will be removed from the race.
* Furthermore, trailing runners who lag excessively behind the cut-off time pace may be stopped to leave the course at anytime.

Those who fulfill the following conditions, and whose participation is approved by the organizer.
※This includes Tokyo Marathon 2020 Deferred Entry and those nominated within an event held by the organizer.

1) Marathon: Over 19 years of age on the day of the event (Field size: 24,700)
*The following field size excludes deferred entry.
- 1-1) General participants
- Runners who can complete the course within 6 hours and 30 minutes.
* Runners with disabilities who find it difficult to run without support should run with a guide runner (guide/support animals are not allowed).
* Includes 50 runners from "RUN as ONE-Tokyo Marathon 2021 (general)".
- 1-2) Semi-Elite (Japan) (Field size: 650)
*Includes Semi-Elite from Tokyo Marathon 2020 who chose to defer to 2021 event.
- Athletes who meet the criteria set forth in "RUN as ONE - Tokyo Marathon 2021".
* Runners with disabilities who find it difficult to run without support should run with a guide runner (guide/support animals are not allowed).

- 1-3) Elite (Field size: 100) ※Applications will commence in July.
- Athletes, registered with the JAAF in fiscal 2021 who satisfy the special requirements set forth by the JAAF.
- Invited Athletes: domestic and international runners nominated by the organizer and/or the JAAF.

- 1-4) Wheelchair (General participants) (Field size: 10)
- Participants capable of completing the race within 2 hours and 10 minutes using a racing wheelchair.
- Participant who has proof of disabilities.

- 1-5) Wheelchair Elite (Applications will commence in July) (Field size: 30)
- Athletes who have the following record in the tournament of the World Para Athletics certified races while registered with the JPA in 2021, and anticipated registration with IPC in 2021 who have T53 or T54 class of World Para Athletics Classification and has Class Status R or C with time record of:
1 hour and 50 minutes or under (Male).
2 hours or under (Female).
- Invited Athletes:National and international athletes nominated by the organizer and/or JPA.
- 2) 10 km (10.7km) (Field size: 300)
※The following field size excluded deferred entry.
- 2-1) Junior & Youth (Field size: 170)
- Runners between 16 to 18 years of age on the race day, who are capable of finishing the race in 1 hour 45 minutes (runners born between October 18, 2002 and October 17, 2005 are eligible).
* Including those runners who are selected separately by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government under the project related to the Great East Japan Earthquake Recovery Support.

2-2) Visually-impaired: runners 16 years of age or older on the day of the event (Field size: 10) (*Guide/support animals are not allowed.)
- Runner who can complete the course within 1 hour and 45 minutes.
- Runner who has proof of disabilities.
* Runner who find it difficult to run without support is allowed to run with a guide runner.

2-3) Intellectually-impaired: runners 16 year of age or older on the day of the event (Field size: 15) (*Guide/support animals are not allowed.)
- Runner who can complete the race within 1 hour and 45 minutes.
- Runner who has proof of disabilities.
* Runner who find it difficult to run without support is allowed to run with a guide runner.

2-4) Transplant Recipients: runners 16 years of age or older on the day of the event (Field size: 5)
- Runner who can complete the race within 1 hour and 45 minutes
- Runner who has proof of disabilities or medical certificate, etc. to prove to be a transplant recipients.
* Limited to those who have received an organ transplant or bone marrow transplant.

2-5) Wheelchair users: participants 16 years of age or older on the day of the event (Field size: 3)
- Participant who can complete the race within 40 minutes using a racing wheelchair.
- Participant who has proof of disabilities.
* Racing wheelchair requirements are specified in the latest "Rules and Regulations" set forth by the World Para Athletics.

- 2-1) ONE TOKYO Premium Member Entry
- From 10:00 a.m. on March 22 until 5 p.m. on March 31, 2021 (JST).
- Eligible only for ONE TOKYO Premium Member, and will be chosen by random drawing once the entry exceeds the field size.
- 2-2) General Entry
- From 10:00 a.m. March 22 until 5 p.m. on March 31, 2021 (JST).
- Selection will be based on random drawing once the entry exceeds the field size.
- 3) Selection of applicants:
- Once the entry exceeds the field size, the entry will be chosen by random drawing (ONE TOKYO Premium Member Entry and the General Entry).
- The selection result will be announced through "My Entry"*.

- 4) Payment:
All entrants, including the Tokyo Marathon 2020 deferred entry, must pay the entry fee and other required amount before the deadline.
If the payment is not received by the due date, the entry will be void.

Receipt will not be issued; should you require a receipt of the payment, please refer to the belonging credit card company.

- * Placings will be determined by the net time (a time from when each participant crosses the start line).
- * For each category, the award ceremony will be based on net time.
- * Participant starting from a unassigned starting groups will not be subject to receive award.

Prize |
For both the marathon and wheelchair marathon, prize money accordingly to the results will be awarded in accordance with separate rules.

- * There will be photo-ID check at Packet Pick-up (must be in person; proxy is not allowed).
- * Packet Pick-up will not be allowed without valid photo-ID check. No exceptions.

Event Cancelation Guideline |
- 1) Event Cancellation Guideline
- 1-1. Due to the situation surrounding COVID-19 and the state of emergency declaration is announced by the government and/or event cancellation is ordered by the municipality within a month prior to the event date, the event will be cancelled.
- 1-2. Aside from the reason outlined above, the event is subject to cancel due to natural disaster or in a situation in which delivering a safe event is difficult.

- 1) Condition of refund of the entry fee shall be outlined in the regulations.
- 2) Mandatory regulations and precautions for the communicable disease will be outlined within the regulations describing countermeasures against communicable disease.
- 3) The event will be held complying to all national laws and regulations.
- 4) Upon entry, consent to all of regulations set forth will be required.
- 5) Please make every effort to enter the race in the best possible health by training sufficiently prior to the event and consulting with healthcare professional.
- 6) Secondary lottery may be held for ONE TOKYO Premium Members if any entry vacancy is available.
